Workshop | Commercialising data (law)fully | Online
21st May 2024 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
| R1826You know data is precious to your organisation, but with all the regulations protecting it, it feels impossible to leverage its value. We explore commercialising data (law)fully—with an emphasis on fully. This event will help you comply with the law while monetising data. You know how to make money from data, but is it lawful?
Bridging the gap between data scientists and lawyers.
The regulatory and compliance landscape for managing data is becoming increasingly complicated, especially in cloud environments. Think data protection, data retention, access to information, data subject access requests, information security, and much more. Many laws or regulations apply to information or data. This event is essentially an overview of information law or data law.
Many people monetise data, thinking there are no rules and no consequences. Think again.
Complying with regulations is essential, but it shouldn’t stop you from using your data for business advantages. You should be able to commercialise your data lawfully. In this event, we unpack, practically and pragmatically, how you can use data well and still stay compliant. We navigate the challenges of data law while leveraging the business value of data.
