Workshop | PAIA Training Live – the essentials | Online
26 August @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
| R1272It’s time for the greatest PAIA gameshow of all time. Access to information (ATI) held by public and private bodies is one of the most important information rights in the information society. Unless there are good reasons, people should have access to information. Information should be free. Giving access to information is just as crucial as protecting information. Access to information leads to transparency and accountability.
Every public and private body must comply with South Africa’s freedom of information law – the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA). Most organisations are aware that they need a PAIA manual, but implementing the right of access to information is more than just having a PAIA manual, and key people (not everyone) in organisations need to understand the ATI essentials. What does the law require you to do?
If you’re new to PAIA, welcome!
Join our highly interactive session where we unpack the key ATI essentials to help your organisation on its way to compliance.
Join our workshop, have some fun, learn a thing or two and play to win.
Bragging rights are up for grabs.
