We want to make sure that you’re safe when you’re paying us for the first time. Unfortunately, business email fraud is on the rise, and criminals will do anything to divert funds to their bank accounts. A criminal might try to get you to pay them rather than paying Michalsons. A criminal might send you an email pretending to be Michalsons asking you to pay Michalsons but give you their bank details rather than the Michalsons bank details.

You want to make sure you are indeed paying Michalsons and not a criminal pretending to be Michalsons.

We care about you and encourage you to take the following steps to confirm our bank details before you pay us.

We send all our invoices through our billing portal Freshbooks.com. This provides a link that allows you to click through to view your invoices and our bank details directly on the portal.  If you are not receiving the invoice that way, please contact us and we will assist. You may need to ask your IT administrator to mark emails sent from “[email protected]” as safe. If this is not possible in very rare instances, and for invoices over a certain threshold, we will then encrypt the invoice and provide you with a password to securely access that pdf.

If something feels off, stop and take extra steps. You may lose your money if this payment turns out to be a scam.

There are a number of steps you should take to verify the Michalsons bank details.

  1. Firstly contact [email protected] for confirmation of our bank details.
  2. Next, call the contact number that appears on our website, and ask to verify our bank details separately.
  3. Finally, if you are still unsure, you could pay a smaller amount into our account and then ask us to provide you with a statement to confirm receipt.
