The South African Artificial Intelligence Association (SAAIA) aims to foster the adoption of responsible AI for the commercial and societal benefit of the citizens of South Africa. The association seeks to address critical aspects such as economic growth, trade, investment, fairness, equality, and inclusivity by uniting practitioners across commercial, government, academic, startup, and NGO sectors. Michalsons was a founding member in 2023, but from 1 June 2024 no one from Michalsons currently sits on the advisory board.

SAAIA aims to unite practitioners from various sectors to promote the adoption of responsible AI for the benefit of our citizens and the nation.
