Michelle enjoys solving complex legal problems, in a concise, effective and practical way. She is passionate about helping people, building strong relationships, open and clear communication and being innovative. Her main focus areas are IT Law, Privacy and Data Protection, Policy Drafting, Employment and Labour Law, Child Law and she also enjoys Cybersecurity and cybercrime and anti-bribery and corruption compliance. She did her Masters in Private Law and has been a member of the Western Cape Government’s Management Board for Child and Youth Care Centers (ad hoc) since 2015.

Michelle further enjoys music – she has a strong musical background – singing and playing the piano. You will either find her jogging in the mountain, spending time with her friends, on the tennis court, baking in the kitchen, or drinking coffee at newfound places in and around South Africa during her free time. Being called “aunt” is her favourite title.
She has work experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Michelle has a passion for education and was a Junior Lecturer while doing her Masters at Stellenbosch University and is an avid reader.
