Are you at the beginning of your journey to protect data? Are you chasing a deadline to be ready (or compliant) by a certain date? New data protection laws are being enacted all the time and each has a new deadline. It is unlikely that an authority or a regulator is going to fine you straight after a deadline but if you fail to protect personal data, you might lose a few customers, suffer reputational damage, or have to pay damages to data subjects.

In this webinar, we will list the things (about 15) we believe you should do first, ranked in order of priority. Many organisations or people (like the ICO) have published lists of what you should do first. We have read those lists and, based on our experience, we have created our list. Of course, the list will be different for each organisation and you must work out the priority for your specific organisation.

Outcomes

• Know what most people are prioritising by looking at various lists.
• Work out what you are going to do first by making a list of things to do first and assigning them to specific people.
• Know where to focus your efforts by prioritising those actions.
