We’re excited to introduce you to the Michalsons Data Protection Compliance Programme. The programme is a set of related activities with the aim of complying with data protection law including the Protection of Personal Information Act.
Why the data protection compliance programme?
We have been helping many different organisations from many different industries comply with Data Protection Laws. What we’ve realised is that:
- some organisations want to comply themselves by attending one of our workshops,
- others want to comply with our guidance by joining the Michalsons Compliance Programme, and
- others want us to do what needs to be done to comply for them by asking us to quote on specific action items.
To meet this need and to complement our other services we have developed the Michalsons Compliance Programme.
When does it start?
The programme officially started on the 2 May 2017, but it is possible to join at any time to work through the programme. The next cycle of live webinars for this programme begins on 1 August 2018.
Who is it for?
It is for the people within a medium to large sized organisation who are responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies.
How can I assess whether it will work for my organisation?
We work with organisations to help them comply with data protection law including the POPI Act. Our compliance programme is not suitable for everyone, so we’d like to get to know more about you and your organisation. To best achieve this, we’re inviting you to complete the high-level Data Protection Impact Assessment questionnaire. (It will take you about four minutes to complete and there is no associated cost for completing the assessment questionnaire.)
Based on the information you provide, we’ll either send you an email with next steps to take, or set up call with you to discuss the impact of Data Protection requirements on your organisation. Together we’ll decide whether our Data Protection Compliance Programme will meet your needs and be of value. We consider various criteria to establish whether you qualify.
Take the next step and complete the high-level Data Protection Impact Assessment questionnaire or read more broadly about Privacy and Data Protection.
