Stephanie worked at Michalsons until November 2024. She has her BTech in Public Relations Management and is an experienced blogger and writer. She has worked in a variety of environments and lives by her motto – ‘If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done. Stephanie prides herself on the ability to recognise and articulate a distinct voice in every project. As a Digital Marketing and Communications Officer, I am in charge of developing and implementing marketing strategies across all of our platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and our blog, as well as all digital platforms such as our website and membership site.
A typical day involves:
1. Implementing email marketing insights: Updating our clients on our services and any major legal updates including webinars or workshops we have planned.
2. Developing marketing strategies: Provide insights on new or existing focus areas.
3. Social media management: Plan content across all our social media platforms; LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
4. Third-party systems: Wide knowledge of Zapier, Gravity Forms, Memberium, Google Ads, and SEO.
5. Database management: Managing Michalsons CRM system (KEAP) containing personal client information as well as managing our various online programmes through our Memberium site.
6. Webinar and workshop planning: Designing promotional imagery, marketing, and planning various online and onsite webinars and workshops for our associates.
7. Client liaison: Dealing with and assisting with support enquiries and impact assessments.
8. Maintenance on the website: Monitoring 404s, redirects, broken links and images, creating pages and posts, creating library templates in Avada, tags and categories.
9. Video editing: Editing webinars through iMovie.
10. General administrative duties: Including but not limited to Freshbooks, Trello, phone calls.
11. Accessible law websites: Built various websites such as popia.co.za, cybercrimesact.co.za, accesstoinformatiom.co.za, and personalinformationprotectionprotectionlaw.com.
12. Internal communication: Develop and write Michalsons internal newsletter.
