Compliance is a process

December 22, 2009 – 10:26 pm by John Giles

John GilesCompliance with the law can be seen as a process that involves the following steps:

  1. Be aware of the issue and applicable laws
  2. Assess where you are (by doing assessments)
  3. Determine the gap between your reality and compliance with the law (usually a gap analysis)
  4. Find solutions to fill the gap
  5. Implement solutions to ensure compliance
  6. Ongoing review

So, if you want to comply with the PPI Bill or the laws regards plain language it is often useful to follow these steps.
